This doc is a good starting point to learn about syndicates, their structure, and best practices to start and grow your syndicate from our past learnings.

Firstly, what is a syndicate?

Imagine you want a slice of pizza from a new place, but they only deliver whole pies. You don’t know what to do — so you ask three friends if they'd like to share. Two of them want one slice each, and the third one wants three slices of the pizza — that works out perfectly for you!

You order a six-slice pie and split the price based on how many slices each person eats.

In a way, a syndicate is a group of people who pool capital to invest in something of common interest based on their investing capacity.

StationX gives you the tools to run such syndicates like a pro.

There are two words you have to familiarise yourself with on our app:

  • Spaces = A dedicated syndicate home page where members can explore and view deals

  • Stations = Station is a dedicated investment page for presenting a deal and funding it

Leads can create as many deals (stations) as they like within their space to raise funds for opportunities and share investment access to their syndicate members.
